this is my effort of picturization of a scene from a bengali novel i read long long time back…

A storm was brewing outside. The angry sound of the gutsy wind getting louder. And with each thunderstorm, the young bride was getting more and more restless. Her man hasn’t returned home yet.
Suddenly she looked at the door, ran up to it and opened…. and there he stood, startled, about to knock on the door.
“How did you know i was here?” he asked.
She replied, tears in her eyes,”if i don’t, who would….”

Well, now the story behind…
2010 was coming to a close and i was spending last few days with my family. I went to the balcony to have some fresh air. It was lovely weather, moonlit night and gentle breeze.
Then i saw a couple walking down the road. Walking close to each other and still some distance in between… well, i am sure you know the chemistry, history, geography and all 😛
Then i thought of this sketch… the distance in between…
p.s. i happen to saw the couple again, walking down the road and this time, well almost hugging each other 🙂
so, happy ending….
